Step 1: Download Recuva File Recovery Software

To restore your lost Notepad++ file, you need a reliable recovery tool.
Download Recuva — a popular and free file-recovery software.

👉 Search “Recuva Download” in Google and install the official version.

Step 2: Install and Start Recuva

After downloading:

  1. Install Recuva on your PC

  2. Open the software

  3. Click Next

  • Select Specific File Location

  • Browse and choose the folder where your Notepad++ file was saved

  • Click Next and start the scan

After scanning, Recuva will show you a list of recoverable files.

  • Click Advanced Mode

  • The interface will change to a more detailed view

Step 5: Change Scan Settings

  1. Go to the Options menu

  2. Click the Actions tab

  5. Run the scan again
